Student Needs:
To find out the students' needs I used two ALiM sessions to GloSS test the students. I also looked at previous testing done by the teachers . Through this I was able to see the gaps in their learning and what they needed to achieve to be successful mathematicians. Once this was done I compared their results to one another and looked at similarities and differences to create individual and group lessons. I looked at how the strategies could be used to solve real world problems and developed my lessons around that.

Classroom Connections:
As a syndicate we plan together as a team, so I was able to see what was going to be happening in class and then adapt our ALiM lessons to suit. This was really good as the students were getting a double dose of mathematics everyday. During team meetings there were casual discussions about the changes they could see with student participation, engagement and use of different strategies to solve problems.
